The window displayed was created by Gene Moore the original gangster of window dressers. The hat made out of eggs is so exaggerated and amazing in it’s construction, the way the brim of the hat just flows like a wave is so great.
This video was a great little glimpse into the life of a man who thought in a way that made people stop and pay attention, the displays he created were unique and harmonious. Every industry needs to have one person who made it the way it is today, and thankfully we have a revolutionary man to guide us through our passions.
Per request from my Visual Merchandising teacher, I have researched and chosen my lest favourite window display. Below is a Loro Piana display from their San Francisco location. I personally dislike it since I work for Malo Cashmere their competitor, and fell that Malo has better merchandise. I also dislike the ability to see straight through to the store, I feel it makes the display confusing.
