1940s Colours

In the 1940s, these pastel paints were all the rave in these examples of colours.

Mondrian Style Project

Here is my take on Mondrian’s famous colour blocking. Instead of black and white with primary colours, I did green and white with colours from the red and pink family to make everything pop.

Colour Blocking!

Here’s an example of Piet Mondrian’s famous colour blocking work, yes that’s the name of the guy who you’ve seen continuously throughout you’re life but never knew the master mind behind it. This art form was very popular during the fifties, and continues to be one of the major art styles we use today in display.

One colour I saw frequently in the 1920s and in art deco design was a deep violet, a colour that would pair flawlessly with the gold used during the time period.
