1960s Fashion

A beautifully captured image of Paris in the 1960s displaying popular fashion from the era. I absolutely love this whole shoot from Vogue, the softness of the bubbles make it perfect.

1950s Fashion

It’s all about Dior’s New Look!!! Bouffant dresses and white gloves.

Colour Blocking!

Here’s an example of Piet Mondrian’s famous colour blocking work, yes that’s the name of the guy who you’ve seen continuously throughout you’re life but never knew the master mind behind it. This art form was very popular during the fifties, and continues to be one of the major art styles we use today in display.

One colour I saw frequently in the 1920s and in art deco design was a deep violet, a colour that would pair flawlessly with the gold used during the time period.

Here are some styles from the art deco era in design history; cloches, flapper dresses, Mary Janes, Beaded Handbags, and short hair was all the rave.
